Blood Bikes Relay Alert
A request was received on Wednesday for an urgent relay to take samples from Edinburgh to Great Ormond Street Hospital and Charity on Thursday (today).
Blood Bikes Scotland volunteer Joe collected the samples from Edinburgh and delivered them to our relay point in Berwick where our volunteer Sam was waiting. Sam delivered to Scotch Corner Services where he handed over to Andy of Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes. Andy then delivered to M1 Woodall Services where he handed over to Michael of Derbyshire Blood Bikes. Michael then delivered to Roy of Serv Herts & Beds at J15A services of M1 at Northampton. Roy then took on to GOSH delivering to Mohammed.
A box of Celebrations also travelled with the samples and was still half full when it reached GOSH.
