Volunteering with NBB
Northumbria Blood Bikes relies entirely on our members who volunteer their time, to run and deliver our service to the hospitals. We have members from all walks of life and right across the North East region - people like you, in fact. Can you spare some time to support Northumbria Blood Bikes and help improve the healthcare, or even save a life, of others in the North East and nationwide.
Volunteer Rider
Volunteer Riders - using our liveried bikes you will collect and deliver blood or other important medical supplies to and from hospitals. You will need to have (or first obtain) a recognised advanced riding qualification which must have been passed or re-assessed within 3 years prior to your initial NBB assessment. However, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved while you get trained up.
